5 Years of BitemeSB

Five years. I can’t believe it’s been that long since I started Bite Me SB… A little passion project born out of my love for food, community, and this beautiful city I get to call home. What began as a fun way to share my favorite local spots has grown into something I could’ve never imagined. It’s been an immense joy and privilege to share meals, stories, and discoveries with all of you along the way.

Whether you're a longtime local or just visiting for the weekend, my hope has always been the same, to help you experience the best of Santa Barbara’s food scene. The hidden gems, the unforgettable bites, the places that feel like home. I’m constantly amazed by the creativity and heart of the chefs, restaurateurs, and makers who make this city so special, and it’s been such an honor to shine a little light on their work.

Running this account has brought me more fulfillment than I ever expected. It’s become a space for connection, celebration, and a whole lot of really good food. I’ve met incredible people, tried unforgettable dishes, and watched this city continue to evolve in the most beautiful ways. Thank you, truly, for following along, for supporting this account, and for sharing your own favorite spots with me too.

To mark the occasion, a massive thank you to the dream team at Alessia Patisserie for the most gorgeous and delicious cake. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect way to celebrate than with something sweet from one of the best in town. If you haven’t tried their pastries yet, run, don’t walk.

Here’s to the next chapter. I have no idea what’s ahead for Bite Me SB, but I know it’s going to be delicious. I’m so grateful to be on this ride with you.
