Girl’s Night Done Right: Candle Pouring at Candle Bar 111

If you’re looking for a fun and creative way to spend an evening, add Candle Bar 111 in the Funk Zone to your list.

I had the chance to join one of their candle pouring workshops this week, and it was such a refreshing and hands-on experience, equal parts relaxing, playful, and thoughtfully curated. We were welcomed with beautiful grazing bites from Goodland Graze and crisp non-alcoholic sips from Drink Tilden, which set the tone for a cozy and inspiring evening.

The process itself is simple and fun: pick your vessel (there are so many beautiful options), explore the scent library, and blend your own custom candle. I chose a lily and magnolia combo, soft, floral, and totally me. Whether you're into woodsy notes or fresh citrus, there's something for every scent personality.

Workshops are offered weekly, and once a month they host a refill day, where you can reuse your candle vessels and pour something new. I love that they’re not just about creativity, but also about sustainability and intention.

Whether it’s a girls’ night out, a unique date idea, or something to do solo for a little self-care, Candle Bar 111 is such a fun way to do something different. Grab a few friends, pour yourself a drink, and leave with something beautiful, handmade by you.
