Bitemesb Signature Martini

Inspired by Lucky’s Vesper, my ALL TIME favorite martini

Every foodie has that one drink they can’t stop coming back to, for me, it’s this Signature Martini. Inspired by the iconic vesper at Lucky’s, this cocktail has become the drink I’ll mix up for special nights at home, dinner parties, or whenever I want to channel a little old-school glamour in a coupe glass.

It’s strong (you’ve been warned), smooth, icy cold, and just the right mix of crisp, citrusy, and complex. The vodka and gin balance each other beautifully, while dry vermouth (or Lillet Blanc if you prefer a slightly sweeter touch) ties it all together. A final twist of lemon brightens the whole drink, and trust me, the frozen step makes it extra refreshing.

This recipe makes two very strong drinks, so find a friend to share with… Or keep them both for yourself, I won’t tell.

Ingredients

(makes 2 very strong martinis)

  • 4 oz vodka

  • 4 oz gin (Culter’s is a fav!)

  • 1 lemon

  • 2 oz dry vermouth (or Lillet Blanc if you like it sweeter and less dry)

Directions

  1. Combine vodka, gin, and vermouth with ice in a shaker.

  2. Shake for about 1 minute.

  3. Strain your 2 drinks into mason jars and freeze for 30 minutes (I like it really icy).

  4. Pour into your desired chilled glass — I love using a coupe.

  5. Top with a few drops of lemon and a lemon peel twist.

Pro Tips

  • Glassware matters: Coupes are chic, but martini glasses work beautifully too. Always chill your glassware first.

  • Customize the base: Swap the vermouth for Lillet Blanc if you want something smoother and slightly sweeter.

This martini isn’t just a drink, it’s a moment. It’s bold, elegant, and absolutely unforgettable, just like the nights best enjoyed with it in hand.
